Washington trades:
Arian Foster (RB--HOU) $11,000,000 (2015)
New England trades:
Brian Hoyer (QB--ARI) $1,000,000 (2015) Isaac Redman (RB--PIT) $2,250,000 (2014) Brandon Flowers (DB--KCC) $2,751,000 (2015) 2013 Draft Pick 1.11 2014 Draft Pick Round 3 (NEP)
Yes, I know, I'm losing one of the most productive players in the League, but in return I pick up a useful RB in Redman and DB in Flowers, while Hoyer maybe able to make a name for himself as a backup at Arizona (or Tampa?) The draft picks come in useful as well as I seek to rebuild our roster from the ground up. Also drop a heap of salary ($5mill) which helps in the FA bidding process.

I think Dan made out like a bandit in this trade. The three players he gives up are scrubs IMO and are barely worth their contracts. Its cap relief for Dan lol. Flowers is a decent player but 2.75M for any CB in this league is borderline expensive unless they are an 80+ tackles per year CB. Slight value in Flowers, Hoyer really only has value if you have Carson Palmer, and Redman is just a bum. He's proven he can't be a reliable back and he won't get another chance. He's a bye week filler. Foster with 3 years left on his contract is worth soooo much more than a 1.11 pick in a WEAK draft especially WEAK in the early picks, a 3rd and a few scrubs. Dan became extremely dangerous after this trade <<< what I'm most upset about. When you look at the benefit to both teams its severly lopsided. Dan fills a huge hole in his team with a top 2 player at the position and the things he trades away are of little value to him. He was probably happy to drop the cap. 1.11 would likely have not given him an instant impact player and it would have been a gamble. Congrats Dan, I think this makes you the team to beat next year. Megatron, Marshall, VJAX, Gronk, Brady, and Foster in a 32 team league is insane. #1 and #2 WR's in the entire league, #1 TE, Top 3 QB, Top 2 RB, and a Top 10 WR. Done ranting...

I agree, terrible trade by Was, but he loves to funnel his talent to NE for nothing in return.....

Then shouldn't it be vetoed.... If he's funneling his talent to NE for almost nothing then why is every TAB member approving the trade?

^^^ Foster is worth well more than this, even if Skins could magically draft eddie lacey who i think will have a solid starting shot if drafted by like the Pack or what have you... even then, this deal is worth nowhere near a long term foster. Foster got the ball 350 times last yr and thats just rushes.... 1400 yards, 15 td's... the dude is only 26... Looks like becoming a vegan didn't slow this guy down, at all...

For my part here I feel I owe the league an apology. I gave my approval too quickly and if I had it back I'd probably send these two back to work out a better deal for the 'Skins. That being said, I don't think this seems like collusion, the Skins are probably pleased with the picks, a young QB who hasn't been given his shot yet but I think will at some point and a couple servicable pieces. It's lopsided, I agree, but to Dan's credit he's a good negotiator and he has made his the team to beat this year.
Dan, as a side note you've got to get your roster updated. It looks like you don't have the cap to do the deal but when I looked over the numbers you're fine. You hadn't updated since your last deal and you still have players like Hali and VJax on your roster.

I will update my main roster at the top of the page when all trades are complete on MFL but I think it should have been updated up to the 49ers trade, didnt know I still had one at the bottom, thanks for pointing that out.
As for the trade, Skins wanted a pick and players who could slot in to his team. I gave him players who will start and have long contracts (Hoyer will start somewhere eventually), plus the 1.11 which in previous year got Leshoure and Floyd but could have got Cobb/Kaepernick/Miller and Miller/Tannehill/Productive LB so that pick for 5 years cheap is a nice addition for a rebuild, added to a future 3rd. Might be a little low for Foster, and granted it probably is, but it isnt nearly as outlandish as some of the other trades I have tried (and sometimes succeeded) in pulling off. I get a player who I needed, the Skins get players and picks they want to help them in their plans.

And Redskins wanted 3 1st rounders and a 3rd from me for Foster. I smell irony.

I love the could have netted Cobb, Kaepernick, Tannehill... He could also net absolute shit with the pick. Foster is worth sooo much in this league... this trade is sad...but its also over.

lol yeah, he wanted Tannehill, Michael Bush, and my 1.07 for Foster too... Kinda sad that skins thinks so little of my team that he thinks Hoyer/Redman plus chump change is equal to Tannehill/Bush.

Frankly I don't care jack shit what all you experts think. Relying on 1 guy who takes up $11M in salary isn't going to get me anywhere. With the cap savings from trading Foster I can now get 4 or 5 guys who can help to fill a lot of gaps. Redman and Flowers may not be stars, but they are an improvement for their respective positions on what I currently have.
Yes, I did make offers to a few for Foster, but you rejected them , mainly because of his salary, yet now you whine that Dan has taken on the cap. You all suggest that Foster is a superstar (and he is), so you missed out on a freak--that's your problem, not mine. Bears could have had him, and all it would have cost him was Tannehill, Bush and a 1st round pick--you missed out badly.
