Chicago sends
Jonathan Cyprien, S, JAX - $3M(2019)
TB sends
Allen Hurns, WR, JAX - $650,000(2016 RFA) Chris Harris, DB, DEN - $2,030,000(2016)
CHI + 320,000 TB - 320,000
The Bears confirm this trade. We traded Crabtree in order to gear up for next year early, but still want to remain competitive and stay atop our division. We're sacrificing a long term DB for a one year DB in order to add that much needed 4th WR that we desperately need to continue to win.
Good deal, TB.

Accepted on MFL Jake Kumerow has be waived to allow cap space
Cyprien is producing more points that Hurns, and by adding him long term I have that position set, I was hyped about hurns early on in the year, but he has been lackluster, and I'll search elsewhere for a WR next year, Easy talks, works for both

Approve (1-0) Pretty even deal. Long term I like the Hurns side if you can get a decent RFA contract negotiated.
Added Comments: I wanted to add a couple of comments.
First, I don't see this as a precedent setting trade. Cyprien is a beast and a LB like Safety on a nice long-term deal. He's got 111 points in 7 weeks and is very consistent. Hurns like all of the Jacksonville WRs, has been under-preforming. He's got 91 points in 7 weeks, 25 of which were in Week 8. Harris has 93 points in 8 weeks on a one year deal.
Second, I don't see this trade in any way is detrimental to the league. I'm a huge Cyprien fan and may have made a very similar deal to acquire Top 5 Safety talent. In my opinion, establishing "positional value" just doesn't take into account the needs that GMs have as they build their teams. It tries to fit every team or player into a specific box. Some very good fantasy teams win with superior defenses and limited offenses.
Finally, while the Bucs might have been able to get a little bit more for Hurns with his RFA....this is not an awful trade.
Just wanted to expound a little more on my reason for approving the trade.

What is now presented, in my view, is the over-payment of a WR and CB to acquire a S because expectations have not been met. This is verified through the Bucs explanation (re: scoring points and lackluster performance) presented as a valid argument -yet Cyp has scored almost as much as D. Hopkins, Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, and Tevin Smith as well, in which none of such performance can really be considered "lackluster", and in and of itself fails to address the value of the WR position.
It is unfortunate that over the past couple of years, to include decisions made today, that we have developed a record of instability in approving/vetoing trades. Though much of this instability could perhaps be due to changes in the genetic make-up of the league over the past couple years, thereby a part of natural procession, I'd like to lightly touch, not on the causes, but the implications.
Plainly, I believe the effects of this instability perhaps delves deeper, and has further reaching consequences, than that which appears on the surface.
To explain, hopefully in simpler terms, imho, TAB as a whole has in most part failed to adhere to any positional trade values previously established by precedent. Where there are no values to follow, or where those values are by-passed without being given any due consideration, naturally there can be no consistency. More so, the much deeper issue of considering whether or not a trade is detrimental to the integrity of the league will always be inadequately addressed.
Further, this situation becomes more complicated when looking on the other side of that coin, by allowing vast over-pays for a player deemed of value. As such no substantive argument can realistically be made for a vast "under-payment" made for a player deemed of value, whether personal perspective of the player, or the position of the player in question. This latter point is often employed and used against a prospective trade partner (i.e., Charles Johnson...where it was found one future 3rd round pick was not enough for a presumed starter).
Somewhere along the way we're going to have to reconcile these differences. Doing so will perhaps assist TAB members in timely voting on such trades - as the tendency seems to be to avoid casting a vote and waiting for others to do so.
So again, while there MAY be no harm to any team in the immediate (time will tell) as the Bucs are just swapping on alleged position of need for another, harm is presented to the integrity of the league, especially where the value of the position is disregarded in favor for some, yet denied for others.

I'm with Darryl on this one. Positional scarcity and the RFA tag on Hurns which would give a 4yr contract or likely a 1st round pick compensation is worth more than Cyprien who is having a good year fantasy wise, but is only a DB, one of the lowest valued positions in the league.

I have to agree with Darryl and Dan. WRs are a lot harder to draft and get in free agency than a Safety.
