TAB is discussing pick amongst themselves now, after a sort..... Anyway, the way this will be handled is Packers has until 1pm EST to stop by and make a selection if he does not the trade is not official due to conditions posted i the thread not approved to by both parties and the trade will be void and pick will be submitted for Falcons.

Speaking as a TAB member, I feel that in this case (where the rule isn't clearly defined for such a situation), Green Bay should get a new fresh full clock upon the completion of the trade.
Do I agree Green Bay should have hung around a while to make his pick? Yes.
I know everyone loves the draft and loves for their picks to come up. But ... Where's the fire? Why are we rushing this situation? Everyone anxious to sit around for 2 1/2 months for the season to start?
Give the guy a chance to make his pick.

I still think this should be handled differently in the future and the rules should reflect a clear way to handle this situation, but I respect and understand the administrative decision that had to be made on the spot. Somebody had to do it. I just don't think this should set a precedent for future trades of this nature.

ehh why should Packers get a full new clock when people that trade for the OTC pick don't even get that luxury. It is clearly stated in the rules that if you trade for a skipped pick the draft does not stop for you. The rules state(in regards to trading for an OTC Pick): "The recipient of the pick is then awarded the amount of time remaining on the clock, as well as the time it took for the trade to be approved up to a maximum of four hours. Trading of skipped picks do not receive this special time treatment." I guess it's not crystal clear but I think you can infer that the draft doesn't stop for you when you trade for a skipped pick and I think Packers should have been aware of that.

Not only what Al said, but I believe it also falls under this section of the rules:
If a trade is posted involving a team's pick on the clock that is not accepted by the other team by the end of the time on the clock, then the trade is ruled void, and the team on the clock will be skipped. The teams may resubmit the trade if they wish.
So by all accounts that trade really was a bad idea to submit at that point in that way. Falcons should have selected the player and submitted the trade. That pick had no time on the clock for Packers to make his pick, so him logging off could have voided the trade, or caused TAB to make the selection for him. The trade had a condition added in by Packers not approved by Falcons, so technically couldn't have been voted on by TAB. Trade was never accepted on MFL which means it still isn't official until that gets done and TAB couldn't have voted on the trade until that was done.
