Arizona Cardinals Trade: Brian Hartline Mia WR - $5,000,000 4 FA Ronnie Brown SDC RB - $4,700,000 2 FA Eugene Sims STL DE - $3,750,000 1 FA Kevin Burnett OAK LB - $6,500,000 2 FA Jags 2014 1st 2.32 (2013)
Jacksonville Jaguars Trade: QB | Drew Brees | NO | $17,313,400 (2013) 2015 4th (chiefs)
Cardinals accept, Going all out movement continues as we gain a top QB which is the last part my team was missing for this year and are in full effect trying to compete and take the league by storm. It sucks to lose a top 5 pick in the jags 2014 1st as the jags are completely trying to restructure their team much like us last year and blow it up for picks for a strong 2014 rookie class.

hmm... not sure what to think... Zona is getting 1 year of Brees plus a mid to late 2014 and 2015 1st, plus cap relief to negate Brees big contract. Meaning he's getting a very affordable Brees for 1 year and 2 1sts for his early 1st next year and 2.32 this year.... I think Zona definitely wins this one however this trade probably helps JAX more than Brees would. Maybe he can get a young signal caller on a long contract with the 1st. Probably should have shopped him around though.

idk though I kinda left out the part where Jack takes on a SHIT TON of cap. This trade would be alot better if Zona wasn't unloading 8.5 Mil in useless cap and another 11.5M in overpaid players. Brees is worth the 18M those players are not even close to worth the price. Hartline is the closest but he's still highly paid. Jack had a strong team at one time but he slowly seems to be tearing it apart.

Yeah, but it looks like he got no compensation for taking on a bunch of bad contracts.

If be does t trade them I don't really want Bree's as I can't afford him at all but I guess that doesn't matter in the league

I agree that it is an awful trade, but in no way veto-able imo.
By removing;
Ronnie Brown SDC RB - $4,700,000 2 FA Eugene Sims STL DE - $3,750,000 1 FA
(which would of been better for Jags had Cards waived them)
It leaves;
Brian Hartline Mia WR - $5,000,000 (2016) FA Kevin Burnett OAK LB - $6,500,000 (2014) FA Jags 2014 1st 2.32 (2013)
in exchange for Brees and a (2015) 4th
Still not the best deal, but...

Complain. But look at the Foster trade and ask again. This trade is more fair than that trade.

Cinci,
Your argument for support for this trade involves removing parts of it, which you can't do. You have to discuss the trade as it stands.
Simply an awful trade.

If his schedule is really that bad, then the 1st should be high, and I consider burnett+hartline to be solid players even with a bit pricey contracts. Add a 2nd and i think for a QB on a one year deal thatll get super expensive when tagged it's fair enough.

Are you telling me what I can and cannot do??? Why can't I remove part of it? It doesn't erase the point. BTW...don't see where you even offered a point, other than "it's awful". Next you'll say something to the effect you don't have to and I must...please - this is a discussion thread so feel free. Jags receive a 1st AND a 2nd AND Hartline. Not the best, but not a bad trade within itself, considering the tag on Brees will be extremely high next year. In addition he received a LB AND a DE AND a RB. The fact that he decides to accept those players ONLY makes the trade that much sweeter for Cards. As I've said, it doesn't make it a veto-able trade. So the bottom line is that YOUR opinion is that it is an awful trade...guess what?...It is also MY opinion - but so what? Has nothing to do with both teams benefiting from the trade.
