Chiefs trade: Ryan Succop (K - KC) $480,000 (2011)
for
Bengals trade: 2012 3rd round pick (CIN) 2013 3rd round pick (CIN)
I accept. I already have Rackers so there is no need for 2 kickers for me right now. I get future picks which helps me build a team.

I don't think people understand the value of a starting kicker in this league. There are 32 starting kickers and 32 teams in this league. That makes them very valuable. way more valuable than 2 3rd rounders in the future.

But the difference between kickers is so minimal that you only need one, and they are so reliable there is no reason to carry more than one. 2 3rds for a kicker? You're nuts haha.

While the difference between Kickers may be minimal, the difference between having one or not could be huge...

i will carry 2 kickers just to spite that one person who has no kicker. If you have no kicker you are pretty much giving every team you play a 10pt handicap. I think a kicker holds more value than 2 future 3rd rounders. you will never get a starting kicker in the 3rd round.

I agree with you, Tyler. Starting kickers and starting QBs are really the most important two things to have. Having played in a 32 team dynasty league for the first time last year, this was one of the things I realized right off the bat. Every other position you can fudge at, but there are exactly 32 starting QBs and 32 starting kickers each week. So you better have one, and better have a backup plan, or like was said, you are spotting points to the other team.
Now on this particular trade, it looks to me to be ok. With the different ways that different people value kickers, its certainly not outrageous by any means. In addition to both teams already having a starter, what jumped out at me was the contract. With one year left, whoever got him is gonna have to lose him or figure out what to do, so that is what brings his value down, to me.
Hmmmm, so if the Bengals, Raiders and myself all have two starting kickers, (and keep them) that means at least three teams won't have one.
