Excuse me for making the thread instead of the traders
But I just wanted to voice my opinion on this. I don't think the Dolphins realize the importance of contracts in this trade. He says he envisions a three headed monster @ RB for the future, but Gore's contract ends after this year and Turner isn't on a long term deal either.
I'm not saying the niners are getting a steal because picks are very volatile, but it doesn't make sense for the fins
Ok, I've said my fill.

I alos would like to voice my opinion on the deal. I feel like it is a lot to give up, too much IMO, but we have to remember that only the most silly deals should be shot down. Take a look at what is happening in the NFL now, Fat Albert for a 2013 5th? Ochocinco for a 2 late picks? I personally would have done none of those deals, but you take a chance with anything you do, the important thing is that you give the GM's the opportunity to do what they want. I do think maybe a cap should be put on tradeable picks though. Like a player shouldn't be allowed to trade alll their picks until 2014 for example. I just say this because we aren't sure everyone will still be around in a few years and we don't want to leave any new GM's with absolutely nothing to build with.

I have to also chime in. I normally don't like to see anything vetoed, and agree with the Bears that only the most silly deals should be shot down. That said, this deal would be one of those deals. No offense meant to either of you, but that is way to much for Gore. I could see it, if he had a contract of 3 years or more, or take away two of the 5 things being given for him, and I could see it. I personally think he will come back and be top 7 maybe top 5 this year under Harbaugh, but only if he stays healthy and doesn't hold out. Even if he does, with that one year contract, the franchise tag is gonna bite ya, Dolphins. I understand if you don't go for drafting, thats cool, but don't be so quick to give up all your picks in one trade. When you asked me about Orton, first thing I did was look and see what picks you had available, and there were none for this year.
