Bears get:
WR Danario Alexander - $405,000 (2013)
WR Mardy Gilyard - $405,000 (2013)
Rams get:
2012 Pick 3.16
The way I see it is it that I take a big gamble on Alexander staying healthy. It is looking like Gilyard is on his way out of the league after being cut by two teams in his first two years in the league and being buried on the depth chart in Philly. I still think he has the talent and hope Reid can turn him around, but it is clear that no team is willing to invest in him and that is a bad place for a player to be.
Alexander has all the tools to be a good WR, but just can't stay healthy. Between his college injuries and missing large chunks of his first two years in the NFL he unreliable. If he could demonstrate the ability to stay healthy he would be worth a good bit more, but he hasn't.
With my 3rd Rams can find a player that will be available to him for 16 games, and especially if he is looking for some defensive players some good will still be around.
