Ravens give: RB-Frank Gore(SF) $8,555,000 (2012) - T 2012 4th overall pick
Texans give: 2012 3rd overall pick
I accept, the 4th overall pick was not a good spot for my team and Frank Gore is on a one year deal in a year where I am not in a position to compete for a championship. This deal was all about moving up a spot in the draft without giving up my future.

Well, when i saw this i thought this was saying 4th Round pick and Gore for 3, and i was like alright not a bad trade...
Then of course i realized it was PICK FOUR not the 4th Round Pick, in all honesty i think this trade is a joke and Gore is being very much undervalued here.
If this does not get vetoed i do not know what to say.

As texans said Richardson for 5 yrs, plus another on franchise tag is worth much more than just Gore on a franchise tag.Which is essentially what the trade was... Ravens traded Gore to ensure that he got Richardson. Fair deal IMO.

I wanted to weigh in as I was going to come on and approve this trade as well, but had some technical problems. This is one of those trades that not everyone would make, as evidenced by such posts, but if a team is rebuilding there is a level of player that can be built around. I agree with the Ravens that Richardson is that tier of player and Blackmon/other player is not. The cap relief by moving Gore and the draft position equate to a franchise level player on a cheap (relatively) contract for me. I think this was a ballsy trade for the Ravens to make and although it certainly could backfire, there is no collusion and the franchise is not jeopordized by it. Congrats to the Texans who really reap the benefits and I do not look forward to matching up against you this season.

I really like this trade on both ends. I think it makes a ton of sense. Gore is on his last leg and is costly. He should produce well next year but 5 years of Trent Richardson is worth WAY more than 1 year of Gore. I agree that 1 year of Gore plus Justin Blackmon, Floyd, or whoever goes at 4 is fair trade for Richardson. There is a huge drop off in Fantasy talent after Richardson. Richardson could easily outperform Gore this year and will almost definitely the next 4 years. A franchise RB for the next 5 years at a cheap price is a very valuable asset in a Dynasty league.
