I accept, glad to get a DB that has a few years on his contract, yeah he is a little more expensive than Quin but the extra contract years makes up for it

Although I like the explanation - and understand the Eagles aren't looking forward to competing this year, I can't see justifying $2 MIL in cap when cheaper back-up options are available, and possibly with more upside. Not only that, but what competitive contribution that Quin brings will further take away from the Eagles organization, while strengthening the position of their competitors week in and week out.

For a team that is already re-building and financially challenged, to me the perceived benefit of a longer contract doesn't outweigh the fact of taking on an unnecessary additional burden of cap that could be better spent elsewhere.

Once again Bengals reasons are the main ones why I vetoed as well. There have been several trades where I have felt Eagles is not getting fair compensation and feel that is happening this time as well. Her franchise is desperate of useful pieces, and not in a position to give away starters or salary space for another players expensive backup.

From my standpoint, I don't like the trade and probably wouldn't have done it, without getting a draft pick along with Young. But I don't feel that it is enough to be a detrimental trade to the franchise or the league. For me, this is one of those trades that I feel if I vetoed it, I would be managing the Eagles team for her. My veto would be to prevent collusion, or something detrimental enough to the team that it would be in shambles if a new owner got it. I just am not seeing either of those situations here, sorry.
