Actually, not such a bad deal imo. Regardless of what one may feel about Gabbert at the moment, he is a starting QB in this league, which having one is a necessity to compete. With Osweiller being the future in Denver, and having RFA status, it at least insures open bidding on the market in 2015 and at the least a 1st rd pick compensation for the Texans.

Severe overpay for Henne/Gabbert. Especially with the possibility that the 1st is high and Brock could play significant time with Mannings Neck

yup Texans pull another one... Vikings have no chance of competing this year so this makes no sense for them. Hold onto Osweiler and your very high 1st round pick. This really hurts the future of the organization.
