You're completely missing the point.

You're not of the majority Cards - apparently those are the only opinions that count

To add in the Bills just did add a Te to replace the one they just lost. So not losing too much production at TE while also receiving a rb they are lacking at this point. I guess this is just where I have a different opinion. Similar situation applies here. He could have 1 TE or 10 TE's, that doesn't matter at all. Just because the value of CJ to your team is more than the value of CJ to another, that doesn't change his actual value. My thoughts exactly! It doesn't change the actual value. So my question is, how exactly is actual value of a player/position determined? By majority of public opinion? Being more specific - when is it feasible for a GM to overpay for player, and when isn't it okay? To be honest, I'm actually shocked at the timing some GM's exhibit in WHEN to show-up to detest a trade and when not to when it comes to such determinations as player value. Since when has making trades strictly become an equitable value for value type deal? Using this logic - and this being the scenario, I would expect EVERY trade to be scrutinised in an equal and like manner. But it isn't it, is it? No, because there is no value scale for players in which we operate. So what we have in actuality is a value based on opinions and not necessarily player/position. Just opinions - regardless of if the majority is of the same opinion or not, it's still just an opinion. Furthermore, being scrutinised in such a manner will make trading between teams much more difficult. So again, it's amazing as to what people see when they want to.

The only "opinions" that count belong to TAB. I would say that when a big majority step up and say the trade is bad its worth more than 3 TABs veto or approval. I personally believe that was a insane amount to pay for CJ and is a bad all around trade. Especially since Bills shut me down on CJ for gresham trade and then after CJ rips off another 20 yard game he turns around and trades Gresham and a 1st rd for him But all and all it makes bills better for the right now and that seems to be his goal.

Cardinals, your point of him needing another RB because he can start one more player at that position is entirely true. Nobody is disputing that.
What we are disputing is whether or not that affects trade value.
I have posted and described why I think it does not. You completely glossed over that point to argue one in which nobody is debating.
I understand you perfectly fine!!!

Another thing to consider is if the titans cut or trade CJ before the Super Bowl they only owe him $1mill. If they don't cut/trade him before Super Bowl they are on the hook to pay him a guaranteed $10mill in 2013. My guess is CJ gets a change of address next year and who knows what he could do in a different uniform. Goes to the right team and a franchise tag could be possible in our league.

Let's say CJ ends up with 1100 yards and 5 TDs, but gets released and ends up on the Jets or some other similar team next year.
Are you spending a franchise tag on him?
This is for anyone, not just the Bills.

If CJ was traded to a similar team I doubt he'd be worth the franchise tag. But if CJ is traded it would surely be to a contender so I doubt a similar team is possible. If he is released it would obviously depend on where he would sign. What do you think CJ will get in FA here? I guess around 6-8million per still. I paid nearly 7million for Hillis after a horrible year knowing he was at best in a time share with Charles. Clearly a bad move but point is someone will be desperate enough for RB depth to pay him handsomely.
