He won't be producing triple Davis' stats and that is what goes into the voting process. We'll wait on Darryl to clarify that issue, but according to rules stated rules he shouldn't be allowed to be TT, as the portion regarding Tag compensation implies, though it doesn't directly say, that a player under FT can only be FT'ed in future years. It may be an issue TAB has to vote on. When it doesn't directly say either way you can't just claim that it says you can. Okay, not going to get in-between what you two have going on (whether friendly competitive expression I do not know) I do believe however that Pat's may feel this specific issue has influenced the Bears vote to veto. So I will comment here, even though I believe we have been here once or twice before. Apparently it wasn't clear, so this may very well be an issue that gets taken up by TAB so that we can clarify further the rules. I will also attempt to present where we discussed this issue before.

Using the rules, I have bolded an underlined all that pertains to this issue...
The same player may receive the franchise tag a maximum of 3 seasons in a row.
If a player is tagged 2 years in a row by the same team...he must be paid 130% of the current year's franchise tag.
If a player is tagged 3 years in a row by the same team...he must be paid 160% of the current year's franchise tag.
Franchise tags are based on the average salary of the 5 highest paid players at their position and will be determined at the end of each season for the following season.
Transition tags are similar to franchise tags and tender with these differences
The player is non-exclusive and can be bid upon like Tenders but with 2 first round picks compensation A GM who bids upon the player can only put one bid in, if this is beaten then he can no longer win that player The owner cannot then try and resign the player if bid upon If no bids are recieved the player re-signs at the lower franchise tag rate (Current or Previous Year) Once given a Transitional Tag they cannot be tagged the following year with either a franchise or transitional tag again

In sum of the rules between Franchise and Transition, DIFFERENCES are;
ONCE GIVEN a Transitional Tag....they can no longer be tagged with either.

Does anyone else see a trend forming? Pats only deal with new owners and TRY to pull fast ones on them. Haha! Im sure he is counting the minutes before he can deal with the new Steelers GM.

As most know, building a dynasty requires a plan of action. Ancient proverb says: Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.
At the start, the Redskins, despite missing a TE and K, were very well into competing for the title this year. They also had an abundance of cap becoming available that would contribute to filling holes through FA left by expiring contracts. As I've stated in the proposal and acceptance thread, I don't see the benefit(s), whether real or perceived, but have given benefit of the doubt because like many new owners can testify, there is nothing you can tell them until they come back and say, "I wish I wouldn't have done that".
I hope that isn't the case.
