Panthers give;
Akeem Ayers (LB-Ten) $734,000 (2013) RFA Bryant Johnson (FA-WR) $665,000 (2013)
Bengals give;
Shaun Draughn (RB-KCC) $505,000 (2013) RFA Garrett McIntyre (LB-NYJ) $505,000 (2013) Justin Bethel (S-ARI) $230,000 (2014) RFA
I accept with this post. Although I don't like giving up the potential, I still have to try and balance out the here and now with the future, and this trade provides me with meeting those needs.

Panthers Accept. With an outside shot to a playoff run and no draft picks I needed to trade away a piece in the hopes of building up and getting younger potential for the future.

I would like to hear a more thorough explanation first by Panthers before voting.
He says he is getting younger potential when 2 of the 3 players he is receiving are older than Ayers.

I don't see anything real earth shattering, just a bunch of potential being traded around.
I'll approve (1-0)

Sorry, but I am of the opinion Panthers may not be here for long. He hasn't seemed to invest much time in here and goes almost a month without checking in. He has no picks for the future, and as we are always saying, we need to protect his team for the next owner in all likelyhood. All he really has going for him is his D and now he wants to trade away one of his best pieces on that team for 2 special teams players and a 3rd string HB. Maybe in 3 years this trade looks a lot better, but I don't believe Panthers has earned thetrust of the league to make such a risky trade.

I agree with Bears when he says that Panthers might not be here for that long. He hadn't logged on in about a month before making this trade and his reasoning is a bit shot as I pointed out earlier about "getting younger". There is some potential being given by the Bengals, but Ayers is a much more sure thing and he is only getting better. If the Panthers had received some nice draft picks in this deal it would have been a much easier pass, but I don't see the advantage of trading for guys that will need a few guys to go down first before they get a big role for a guy who is already becoming a force at age 23.
Again, draft picks added in would make this an easier trade to pass, but as it stands with the owner situation and all I think I'm going to scrutinize Panthers a bit more on this one.

I think what's important is that Panthers GM is here now and stated that he is back 100%. Regardless however, just the fact that you mentioned maybe 3 years this trade looks better shows that probability exist that this is a good trade for the future of his organization. We all knew he was already facing an uphill battle coming in and I don't believe this is the type of trade that will further train wreck his team.

I was the one who drafted Ayers in this league and sold him fully aware of his potential. That was before the season, and got a significant package for him from a very smart owner at the time. Flash forward 8 weeks and Ayers is one of the best scoring LBs in fantasy at the moment. This package doesn't make sense at all. I don't see any merit to it. For Bengals' argument of potential, I don't see that either. No hard feelings but I think you know yourself that this trade is very skewed and will need significant work for me to approve.
