I think this is fine given the rise of Von Miller and D.J. Williams

Wesley is starting MLB, DJ Williams = Suspended 6 Games and Broncos might just be done with him. Really a bargain at 1.7M

Veto (1-1) D.j. Williams roster spot is up in the air, and Woodward will be starting at least 6, most likely 16 games this year. 1.7 mil for a starter/quality backup is pretty low.

Regardless of what is going on in terms of D.J. being suspended, Woodyard is still a back-up player. And even IF which is indeed an IF, D.J.'s position MAY be at stake, it doesn't make it a fact. So what happens if D.J. plays another 2,3, or 4 years? That means Woodyard will continue to be the back-up. Will his value then be decreased?...honestly, I'm hoping he does win the starting job, but again at the moment he doesn't. Fair value can't be based on assumptions, but at least should be based on what is at the present.

We base our votes on what we feel is a fair price for what the player has shown and what it appears he will do. Woodyard didn't start last year as he is the nickel LB and still racked up 97 tackles not including ST tackles. With the league going as pass happy as it is Woodyard will still see the field on more than 50% of plays. My opinion still stands.

I accept your opinion, that's fine...not a complaint, just stating the facts. Just like the facts were last year he also filled in for D.J. for a number of games. So using the stats of 50% doesn't make him equitable with that of a starter...

While Woodyard may see increased time this season and be worth more than the 1.7 M now he is not the future and probably won't be worth the $ toward the end of this contract. I approve (2-1)

Approve (3-1). We are offering based on now, not what might happen to make the person worth more.
