Based on discussions with the Dynasty NFL commissioners, we are implementing the following rules concerning Covid 19 Opt-Out and Covid 19 Quarantined players.
Covid Opt-Out Players: GM's will have the option to place players who opt-out for the year due to Covid 19 on IR. This will mean that these players will not count against roster totals, but the player's salary will still count against the team's salary cap. The GM can also choose an option to extend that player for one additional year at their current salary rate by posting the player in this Covid Opt-Out thread. Extended Covid Opt-Out players may not be traded until they are activated during the 2021 pre-season. Covid Opt-Out players who are dropped still incur the normal 35% waiver penalty. MFL has noted these Covid Opt-Out Players with an (H). ALL COVID 19 OPT-OUT PLAYERS TO BE EXTENDED MUST BE POSTED IN THIS THREAD BY MIDNIGHT THE DAY AFTER THE NFL'S FINAL CUTDOWN DATE IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR CONTRACTS EXTENDED BY ONE YEAR.
Covid Quarantined Players: GM's will have the option to place players who are quarantined due to a Covid 19 positive test on IR. This will mean that these players will not count against roster totals, but the player's salary will still count against the team's salary cap. Unlike normal IR players who must remain on IR for the reminder of the season in Dynasty NFL, these players may be re-activated to the active roster when they are re-activated in the NFL. To place these players on IR, GMs simply make a post in the Injured Reserve section of ProBoards and place them on IR in MFL. MFL has noted these Covid 19 Quarantined Player with a (C).
