Tyler Eifert - $5.5M (2021)

I accept with this post. This is the time of year for self-scouting. For my team, I'm not in it for this year with the loss to the Vikings. Would have needed to beat them twice to sniff the playoffs and now there isn't that.
For myself, I wanted to look at what I'm good at in fantasy football. It isn't knowing when or what to trade -- I've blown Frank Gore and Damien Williams on timing because I assessed their role as less than it would be and perhaps my best value pick ever (Cole Holcomb in the 4th) I traded to get Equanimeous St. Brown. I'm OK at drafting, but most folks here would have taken Kyler at #2 like I did.
The thing that I've been good at in fantasy is roster depth. For every five Tra Carsons (who went on IR the moment I picked him up), there's been a Neville Hewitt or Jason Witten - someone who fills the role and can be traded if the season goes sideways.
So with this trade, I trade away a bunch of these players (Eifert, Addison, Allen, and Mitchell) with the thought that I have the skill to replace them with similar guys. What it gives me is the opportunity to build around Kyler Murray, Saquon Barkley, Davante Adams on the franchise tag, and whatever I get with my two 2020 1sts, which should be pretty good picks. Plus, I have whatever $16M in freed up cap will get me in the FA market, which is the equivalent of a Keenan Allen or Brandon Cooks.
I like Gurley, but the news of his arthritis and the Rams bringing on additional good backs lowers his long-term value. So the opportunity to get a top, top talent for 3.5 years inexpensively (and likely three more expensively) is tough to pass.
