I'm going to agree with Chargers' analysis here. This portion of the RFA period has always been my Achilles. Malcolm Smith is nearing the 2nd half of his current contract - which a couple of years ago as a league the available cap was $10 Mil less than what it is today.
Simmons was a RFA contract offer - given with compensation of a 2nd round pick - no pick as compensation is given here.
As a 2nd round tender I would place this position no less than between $3.5 - $4 Mil. UFA prices, if available, should easily surpass this amount by no less than a $1 Mil.
Veto 1-2

3.75m per year would be the low end for me.

Prior to the end of free agency bidding....Bill the new GM of the Falcons asked me to place an additional bid for Vonn Bell. I thought he was going to place the bid. He thought I was going to place the bid.
Therefore, a new bid of 4 Years @ $4.00M/year is now entered by the Falcons for voting by TAB. .
