Minnesota offers Jatavis Brown a three-year deal at $2,600,000 per season.
An OLB in a 4-3 who has finished as the #73 & #52 LB over the past two seasons and without hardly any sack production (one in the past two seasons) is nothing more than a depth option for our roster and unlikely to see many starts. Less than half of the 30 players who finished above him last season have a contract of this value and it's possible he's not offered a second contract at the Chargers which could totally sink any value he has.

Approve (1-0) This is a low offer but in my opinion is acceptable.

Ouch!...Agree w/Bills concerning a low offer. As to being acceptable, even in RFA we have top LB's going at $8 Mil. UFA brought those prices to LB's last year. Brown is well serviceable as a #2 LB and should go at least 1/2 the amount...thinking the $3.5 - $4 Mil range in the least.
Veto 1-1

^ Agree. Don't think Brown is his early career production but 2.6 for a starting tackle heavy position is low. Veto.
1-2

Veto 1-3.
I'm looking at 4m for a solid LB2 in RFA, especially tendered at a 2nd round level

I'll up the tender offer but I don't think the mistakes of others should be the standard the awarding of contracts is held to. As I said previously he's been the LB #73 & #52 in the past two seasons and clearly lines up as an OLB which drastically limits his tackle production. Of the 30 players that finished above him in 2018 only 12 had a contract greater than 2.8 million and so I see no reason why the original tender is viewed as so low and moreover as a fifth round pick he's one high selection in the current draft away from not even starting...even so: Minnesota offers a 3-year contract at $2,900,000

Offer #2 - Approve (1-0). I approved the first offer so I will approve this revised offer. I'm with the Vikings on this one, The Los Angeles Chargers have a unique defensive approach. They move their stud DE/OLB Melvin Ingram constantly, which limits Brown's snaps. Jatavis Brown is by no means a lock to start at OLB. He's being pushed by last year's rookie Kyzir White. Plus they brought in Thomas Davis from Carolina to shore up their LB corps. In my opinion, it's a fair price for a LB with lots of question marks.

Approve 2-0. But only because I think brown will be replaced by White. For a reliable LB the price would usually be better.

Respectively disagree with my colleagues (as far as accepting a low-ball offer that doesn't come near suggestions) and stand by my initial thoughts.
Veto (2-1)

300k more is not much of an increase for a top 20 LB at least..
2.9M isn’t even safety value and LB’s are the top scorers on D..
Veto 2-2

I'm going to approve, I've followed Brown's career to date from pre draft as I was a big fan out of college. I've yet to see LAC fully commit to Brown and last season it need an injury to (IIRC) both White and Perryman for Brown to get a spike in snaps. LAC also just added Thomas Davis who should take snaps from Brown too..Brown for me right now is a rotational piece for LAC and I own him in a number of leagues and will not be leaning on him to start for me much. Until he proves his worth to LA
approve 3-2
