Round 2 ... Almost to the point where I need to pay a little attention.

Nice pick Browns. Made my decision much easier. I think I was going to have to take Moncrief even though I have more pressing needs than WR.

As much as I hate drafting 3-4 OLB's... we are talking about one of the best defensive prospects to come out in years... he will be an instant contributor and has the talent to be the most dominant defensive player in the league in a few years.

I was doing the same lol. I liked him to go in the late teens early 20's and had him right below Latimer. Both have great QBs and are pretty well buried on the depth chart... difference is that Manning will be gone soon and Luck will only get better.

I honestly thought somebody would wayyyy overreach for Clowney and grab him in the top 10 or something. Can't believe he lasted to the 2nd round.

Yeah Latimer has a chance to see the field a little more this year but I think next year will Waynes contract ending Moncrief was great value. But I couldn't believe Clowney was still there so made it hard.

I wanted to go Moncrief but I needed LB quite a bit more, Clowney isnt a 1st round prospect as a LB, so it'll be interesting to see how he performs, a very boom bust prospect

I really don't see him as boom/bust... I see Telvin Smith as much more boom/bust than Clowney. A fifth round LB that weighs 218 at 6'3... he's built like a safety. I think as a WLB or MLB Smith has a higher ceiling than Clowney... but he also has the potential to do nothing as 31 other teams didn't like him enough to pick him in the 4th round. Clowney has some bust potential because he's a bit of a shit bum... but if he uses half of his talent and stays out of trouble he should be a solid starter at worst. I expect him to be an annual double digit sack player.

I don't see Clowney as becoming a top 5-10 LB anytime soon, but top 20 annually is possible and nothing to sneeze at. Easily a solid starter in this league even if he'll have to rely on sacks for most of his production. He should force some fumbles too.

Exactly my thought... and why I don't see him as boom or bust. Telvin on the other hand could end up a top 5-10 LB, but could also easily do nothing. Clowney is going to get every chance to succeed as a #1 overall pick. Telvin could never start. I saw Clowney as the most sure thing at LB left on the board. He's not going to light it up, but in this league he should be a solid starter for the next 7 years for me.

Think Telvin gets straight into a 3 down role this year with the crappy Jax OLBs

I actually see Clowney lighting it up in 2-3 years. Houston as it is isn't set up to succeed, they'll e getting another new head coach soon enough and a small change from 3-4 to 4-3 would do wonders for clowney a production IMO
In his contract year according to this league he will be the steal of the draft. But just as every prospect before him he has bust potential but the fact he lasted till the 2nd round is absurd to me.

I like Kirksey alot too. I had him over Telvin Smith. He could easily jump straight into a starting role where he would rack up tackles.
