That is a hell of a lot for a player with 1 yr left, Justin would end up paying between 11 and 13m the first season, 16ish year 2, and then 20+ year 3 if he was to franchise him. Nice piece but paying what seems to be a young top WR, a top 2013 pick, 2 highish picks this year, and a future RFA, I dont understand the move for a team that isnt going to be anywhere near competing for a few years at least.

with him and a healthy AP aswell as my defensive line i think my team isnt that far from being able to compete. I will gladly pay the tag price on megatron for next few years. Doss and Allen are just filler pieces. Harvin is great ..and Im a fan of him in real life. As I mentioned he misses games every year due to his migrains and he will never put up johnson type of numbers. The Lions have gotten better every year. rec TDs being worth 8pts makes a huge difference to me. Harvin has one extra year in his deal then calvin and there is no way harvin is worth a tag..IMO. Harvin has 17TDs in his career..calvin had 16 last year. Harvin has total 2600 yrds in career calvin had almost 1700 yrds last year.

I don't think the upgrade from Harvin to Megatron is anywhere near worth the picks that are given up. I could understand if the vikings were stacked but they have lots of holes on the team that could have been filled for years to come with those picks. The 1st and 2nd round picks would have allowed the vikings to fill holes that otherwise will probably give 0 pts all year long, unless the vikings miraculously fill all their holes in FA. The upgrade from Harvin to Megatron will not make up for 2 positions giving 0 pts all year long. Vikings have huge needs at RB, WR, QB, and TE and that is just the offense. On the other end, great deal for the giants. The giants take a slight downgrade at WR but pick up 3 very nice picks. Not to mention Harvin has an extra year on his contract at a fraction of the cost of Megatron. Giants were going to be a good team but this trade might make them great. Vikings could have kept harvin and used the extra 8mil in cap to sign a FA WR. Its not that megatron isnt worth the money but he isnt worth the money, Harvin, 2 first rounders, and an early 2nd. Just giving my opinion. Vikings validated their reasoning and hopefully they are right.

and i justified y ur reasoning is invalid. 3 season harvin has 600yrd and 1td on johnsons 2011 season. Harivn has a (at best) par QB. u and raiders both were nice as hell until i rejected your trades

only two non tab members to say anything here are the two that wanted harvin Let me state my opinion before this gets too far out of hand... I'm not quite sure of what makes it so hard to understand about this particular thread being a place in which members can state their opinions and views on a trade. They should be able to do so without "childish" antics or replies that attack them. On a personal note - the underlying tone of a grave disrespect for fellow GM's (as we all are) needs to be checked at the door of this league as it takes away from the fun in which it should and is intended to be. Preferably SELF-checking is the best method if you can control it. I strongly feel that this sort of attitude and resulting attack as evidenced is what leads to an uncomfortable and hostile league environment and should not be tolerated. If you have an opinion AS TO THE TRADE - then state it. It is your right as to the League Rules and Title of the thread and you have NO RIGHT to attack another member simply for stating their opinion on the matter.

Lol did I want harvin? yes. did that have anything to do with my post? No. I stated my position and I think most would agree I made pretty valid points. Check the standings at the end of the year and I bet me and Daniel are ahead of you and the Bengals for that matter. Bengals and I didn't start with good teams either, but we both knew better than to throw everything we had into 1 good player. What's your plan to fill your QB, 2nd RB, 3rd WR, TE, FLEX, LB's, and DB's? Or will Calvin just score enough to make up for all of them? How bout Free agency, Where you will overpay for mediocre players and not be able to afford to tag Peterson and Megatron next year. Were not even talking injuries yet... you need depth in this league and you have none. those 2 first rounders and a 2nd woulda been great for that. not to mention you would have 11 mil more in cap to sign FA's. Johnson scored 85 pts more than harvin last year. Thats like 5 pts per week. Thats how much you upgraded your team with this trade. you gave up 3 good draft picks, a great young wr on a good contract, a young cb, and a young wr for 5 extra pts per week. I give my opinion on just about every trade, good or bad, that's what this thread is for, if you don't like it don't read this thread.
