The Green Bay Packers and C.J. Fiedorowicz has agreed on the following contract:
4 yrs @ $1.80M/yr
C.J. is a serviceable fantasy TE in the final year of his contract and he will share TE responsibility with Ryan Griffin who signed a 3 yr contract in March.

Veto(0-1) Fiedorowicz was the #18 TE last year but he is in TE timeshare. Other timeshare TEs approved in RFA include Trey Burton (Ertz) TE#27 - 4 years @ $1.75M and Eric Swoope (Doyle) #41 TE - 4 years @ $2.20M. I believe that Fiedorowicz is better that either of those two and therefore should be somewhere in the $2.50M range. Cameron Brate #7TE who is significantly better the Fiedorowicz got 4 Years @ $3.50M.

Well, I can see taking a step back isn't going to work.
I agree w/Greg. This may be a fair offer for Grant...but not for Fiedorowicz, who is on the upper-end of the Time-share.
Escobar was on the lower end in Dallas and reaped $3 Mil in RFA.
Coupled with the above thoughts, i.e., Swoope ($2.2), Escobar ($3 Mil), and Brate ($3.5), I would place his fair market value in-between the latter two...$3-3.5 Mil range.

The Green Bay Packers and C.J. Fiedorowicz have re=negotiated the deal and have agreed on the following contract:
4 yrs @ $2.60M/yr
I tend to agree more with Greg's breakdown. With Brate as the #7TE and CJ at #19, he should earn relatively significant lower salary, but higher than Burton and Swoope. The Escobar contract was one that may have been too high based on Escobar being in the last year of his contract and moving on to another team (KCC) he may not fit in with. This is something that could very well happen to CJ also, since he is in the last year of his contract and Ryan Griffin was signed long term.

While Greg's breakdown considers overall points for the year as the analysis for considering their respective standings, I believe that the actual ppg. avg is more reflective. In this aspect, Fiedorowicz didn't really get started until game 4 last year, as compared to Brate who started throughout the whole year. As a result,
Fi finished at 11.267 avg ppg. (#14) Brate avg. 12.553 ppg. (#10)
Notwithstanding that of my own analysis, which may be subjective to a point, it is first of all my hope that Brate's low signing was largely influenced by the addition of Howard, the top-TE in the draft, thereby affecting his future production and limiting his upside. Likewise I believe that the signing of Fiedorowicz's should also be a relatively low-signing, influenced by the re-signing of Ryan Griffin.
Secondly, in looking at the overall signings, to include FA, of those contracts who avg. 12 to 14 ppg. plus, on one side, Brates is the lowest at $3.5 Mil. Of those who avg. 9 to 11 ppg or more, Clay is the lowest at $3 Mil. There can be no dispute that Fi falls within the latter category under both mine and Greg's respective theories of analysis.
On the other side are those contracts above the two lowest signings, ranging from Delanie Walker ($3.6 Mil), who was signed to a low contract before actual production on his new team, to (excluding Gronk), $8.2 Mil. There are 13 TE's in this category, collectively averaging a salary of $6.17 Mil. I don't think at least half is asking too much.
Imo, the proposed contract is slightly better, but comparable to the likes of:
Virgil Green Niles Paul and Eric Swoop
With that, I have to respectively disagree and stand pat that an offer within the $3-3.5 Mil range is more than fair.

It's a little low but I'll accept based on the fact that Griffen appears to be an improving TE who can seriously cut into Fi's snaps.
2-1

This is a tremendous deal for a starting TE this year, but feel like Fi isn't the long term TE for the Texans and it's the only reason I'm voting yes. Probably should have been over $3 M a year.
